Buzzfeed Alleges Trump Directed Cohen to Lie to Congress

January 21, 2019

Recently, Buzzfeed News came out with a report that claims President Trump directed his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, to lie to Congress about his involvement in a real-estate deal with Russia during the 2016 campaign.

The special counsel’s office was quick to debunk those claims stating, “BuzzFeed’s description of specific statements to the Special Counsel’s Office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohen’s Congressional testimony are not accurate.”

Further reports from Buzzfeed claim that Mr. Mueller had evidence corroborating Mr. Trump’s direction of Mr. Cohen, including interviews and documents.

In regards to Buzzfeed’s claims, President Trump tweeted that Michael Cohen was  “lying to reduce his jail time.”

The President’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani, also went on the defense for Trump saying, “Any suggestion—from any source—that the president counseled Michael Cohen to lie is categorically false… just more made-up lies born of Michael Cohen’s malice and desperation.”

However, Buzzfeed’s editor in chief, Ben Smith, is standing by their reports and the sources who informed them.

As allegations against the President regarding his dealings with Russia continue to go on, the stability of our nation remains in the balance.

If the Democrats get the impeachment they so desperately want, the United States will be left vulnerable and leaderless.

China might take the opportunity to drop it’s U.S. Treasury bonds and send the dollar into a major collapse.

If this happens, your retirement money will be left in jeopardy.

Instability of a nation is the first sign that you must protect your savings.
